Oshkosh city manager explains next steps following announcement that Sawdust Days will not return
At the Feb. 26 Common Council meeting, City Manager Mark Rohloff described how Oshkosh will celebrate the Fourth of July this year following the announcement that the Sawdust Days organizers plan to close up shop. Here are his key points:
1. The annual parade will go on as scheduled.
2. The annual fireworks show will go on, and may be expanded depending on potential donor interest.
3. The Parks Department is looking into some kind of smaller-scale replacement.
